Spectrum Community Services was established to provide long term,
community-based, residential treatment as an alternative to institutionalization
for mentally and physically disabled individuals. We specialize in community
integration by operating residential group homes that provide services specifically
for individuals that have developmental, mental and physical disabilities. Mental
health services and special assistance are provided to enable consumers to live
in the least restrictive environment and to build independent skills to a maximum
level.
Individualized treatment and skill training services are based on the individual’s
Person Centered Plan. This plan gives directions as to what goals are to be met
and services provided including:
- Medication compliance and management
- Personal care
- Daily living skills
- Housekeeping
- Money management
- Behavior treatment plans (where indicated)
Spectrum currently has 29 residential licensed programs,28 semi-independent
living programs in apartment/home settings and many community living support and
mentoring locations. Our consumers live in Benzie, Berrien, Kent, Livingston, Macomb,
