Continuous Quality Improvement and program management is an integrated program function
at Spectrum. Our commitment to provide exceptional services is promised not only
to our clients, but also to our staff, volunteers, supporters and stakeholders.
We truly believe that in order for those we serve to reach their highest potential,
our services must meet or exceed national standards for quality and best practice.
Our supporters and stakeholders must feel comfortable in our ability to manage funds
and fulfill obligations and expectations.
The basic concept underlying our continuous quali-ty improvement process is that
clients, staff, volunteers, supporters and stakeholders can expect a consistently
high level of quality from our services. It also assures that when inconsistencies
exist, each will be reviewed and corrected, with measures taken to prevent recurrence.
Applying the principles of continuous quality improvement to everything we do ensures
that we deliver high quality services that provide functional, positive outcomes
for the children, adults and families that we serve. This process confirms that
all the programs and services reflect the standards and expectations of leaders
in the human services field, the Council on Accreditation (COA), the Commission
on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the Michigan Department of
Human Services and the Department of Community Health, Wayne County Children and
Family Services (CAFS) and especially the expectations of Spectrum Human Services
leadership, Board of Directors and the families and communities we serve.
