A Message from the President…
I am Roger Swaninger, President & CEO of Spectrum Human Services, Inc. & Affiliated Companies. Thank you for taking the time to view our website. I would like to take a few minutes to tell you a bit about us. It all began on Friday, February 13, 1976. Believing that children and adults with mental and physical challenges could flourish outside of institutional care, a small group of people joined together to open one group home. Since that time we have grown into a multifaceted organization that provides services to over 1,500 individuals daily.
Everything that we do is driven by our belief that all people, as valued members of the human community, are entitled to dignity and respect and have the right to receive services that support them in achieving their highest potential. It is because of this belief that we have been successful in our strides to deliver exceptional child welfare and mental health services.
Because of our supporters, we are there to help children feel safe after being removed from an abusive home. We can educate teens to become independent and live productive lives. Spectrum provides homes for girls that have been abandoned and neglected. We offer teens a ray of hope as they struggle through the juvenile justice system. We provide the comfort of home to adults with mental and physical challenges and have become a beacon of light for families as they try to cope with the hardships of despair and uncertainty.
