| The Seven Stages of Treatment |
All of the treatment programs of Spectrum Juvenile Justice Services (SJJS) utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to help the residents change their negative and criminal thinking patterns. These seven stages of treatment are designed to facilitate a step-by-step process in which each stage builds upon personal knowledge gained from the previous treatment stages.
Each treatment stage also explores how a residents’ substance abuse played a part in shaping their thinking errors and delinquent behavior. SJJS therapists use several varied therapeutic tools and techniques during each CBT therapy stage to help residents change their erroneous thinking patterns.
