After 14 months in Foster Care, the Price children were reunited with their mother. The separation had been difficult and there were several issues to address. The Wraparound Program of Child & Family Services was put in place to provide additional support with stabilizing the family.
Wraparound Specialists assisted the Price family with securing new housing, furnishings, counseling and psychological services.
The Price family is on their way to reunification, thanks to the Wraparound program and intervention from Spectrum Child & Family Services.
Jasmine is a 16 year old female, with a history of behavioral and emotional problems. It was later discovered, Jasmine had been sexually abused at a young age by a relative, which led to her poor coping skills and anti-social behavior.
She ran away from home, started experimenting with drugs, associated with peers who engaged in negative/criminal behavior, and became truant from school. Jasmine was soon referred to the Home Based Services Program of Spectrum Child & Family Services.
Initially, Jasmine resisted all assistance from the Home Based program. As Jasmine became familiar with the program’s expectations and comfortable with staff members, she began to open up and respond to the services offered.
With assistance from Home Based Services team , Jasmine made a commitment to turn her life around. She returned to school and worked hard to achieve a 3.0 GPA, remained drug/alcohol free, and began to think about larger goals for her life.
Upon completion of the program, Jasmine thanked the staff for the dedication, commitment and loyalty shown to her while she was in the program.
